Announced on Thursday, October 17th, Grammy-winning rapper Tyler The Creator is about to release his eighth studio album. The album has been donned the title of Chromakopia, and will release on October 28th, which is a Monday— differing from the typical Friday artists tend to release on.
This album follows the release of 2021’s Call Me If You Get Lost, which went onto the charts with 169,000 units sold in the first week of release, and won the 2022 Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album. Tyler had followed a streak of releasing an album every other year since Goblin in 2011, yet broke this pattern when he didn’t release a project in 2023.
Currently, a website for Chromakopia is up and running, where fans can pre-save the album. This website also allows for fans to set their pre-orders for CDs, hoodies, hats, T-shirts, tote bags, and mini Chromakopia containers.
On November 16th and 17th, Tyler will be performing at Camp Flog Gnaw’s Dodger Stadium, where fans will likely be able to hear music from the new album.
