Galileo Magnet High School’s annual Halloween dance brought plenty of excitement and fun this year, with a night full of music, costumes, and lively contests. Hosted by the BETA Club, the event was a collaborative effort involving numerous students who volunteered their time to make it a success. From setup to cleanup, the BETA Club members created a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
Members of the BETA Club arrived early to help prepare for the event. Volunteers took charge of setting up decorations, running the ticket booth, offering face painting, and later, cleaning up. Seniors Diamond Paige, Adam Hawkins, and Usman Ali managed the ticket booth, assisting students with ticket purchases and check-ins. Meanwhile, seniors Cameron Kassa and Alan Salazer added a creative touch by providing face painting for attendees.
Throughout the night, DJ Leah Warner kept the energy high with a selection of popular tracks that kept students on the dance floor. A few fun contests also added to the excitement. In the “Cutest Costume” contest, juniors Thomas Hungerland, Zain Aldeen Zain-Alabideen, and Carter Wilson won as a trio dressed as Minions. The “Scariest Costume” title went to junior Iseai Miller, who wowed everyone with a spooky ensemble. Finally, in a lively game of musical chairs, junior Breyonna Morrison and DJ Leah Warner claimed victory.
Galileo’s Halloween dance was an unforgettable night, filled with laughter, competition, and incredible costumes. Thanks to the hard work of the BETA Club and enthusiastic participation from students, this year’s dance was a huge success. Students are already looking forward to next year’s Halloween celebration and the chance to once again showcase their creativity and school spirit.
