The Ace Match took place on January 25th, bringing together some of the brightest minds from Galileo to compete in a series of challenging questions, testing their knowledge across various subjects. The team dedicates two to three days a week after school to prepare for their matches.

The competition was intense, with students showcasing their hard work and quick thinking. Galileo’s team fought fiercely, securing an impressive 2nd place finish. With their strong performance, they are looking at the potential of advancing to regionals. They are filled with excitement as each team aims to outscore their opponents.

Assistant coach, Mr. Dodson, filling in for coach Mr. Smith, expressed, “I am so proud of the team and how hard they work. They show great leadership and sportsmanship.”

Looking ahead, the next match is scheduled to take place on February 15th in Rappahannock City. The outcome of this match is crucial, as it will determine whether the team advances, with the possibility of competing in Williamsburg if they finish in the top two. The students are eager to continue their winning streak and showcase their academic abilities on a larger stage.
